Committee
Who We Are
Lorraine Booth
Hon Social Secretary
I have been a NASCH committee member since the early 90’s, I started off as a co-opted member and then was elected to the role of Competitions Secretary which I held for 10 years and then became the elected Social Secretary. My main role is Social Secretary which I enjoy very much being a very social person, I love a chat! The main part of the role is organising and running of the annual NASCH Woodlarks camp for affiliated club members on a campsite in Surrey. This entails planning the weeks club bookings, activities while on camp, outings, tent allocations, thing to do of an evening and getting cooks who provide wonderful meals!
I still have a lot to do with the Finals gala as that post has been vacant for 6 years now! So apart from being the starter for the races I am the organiser and contact for clubs swimming at the gala.
I started with my local swimming club in 1985 they are Chester Terrapins, being introduced by a work colleague. I have been on my clubs committee as the Hon. Treasurer since that time. I am the pool supervisor for our swimming sessions on a Monday night where we get between 20-30 swimmers.
I work full time as a Data analyst for a Commissioning Support Unit within the NHS.
